Vetnac editions offer you the possibility to order books and DVDs presenting the veterinary aspects of Exotic Pets.

These Exotic Pets are organized relative to their zoological classification:

  • Small Mammals: rabbits, rodents, ferrets
  • Birds: parrots, parakeets, small exotics birds, pigeons, waterfowl

  • Aquatics: ornamental fishes

Well-recognized specialists in the matter of Exotic Pets have put all other multi-medias and books in place. They are purposely very well illustrated via the use of iconographies and schemas of very good quality.

They are mainly addressed to veterinarians, but may certainly also appeal other biologists, researchers, and professionals of Exotic Pets, pet stores and other smart amateurs.



Doctor Franck RIVAL obtained his diploma at the National School of Veterinary Medicine in Lyon (FRANCE), in 1981. Since then, he has practiced in a liberal office and has been interested by all aspects of medicine and surgery relative to Exotic species and Pets (Nouveaux Animaux de Compagnie (NAC)): birds, small mammals, reptiles, aquatics, and invertebrates. In 1991, he obtained a Graduation Certificate in Ophthalmology.
During the years 2001 to 2007, he was GENAC’s (Groupe d’Etude des NAC- Study Group of Exotic Pets) of AFVAC’s (Association Française des Vétérinaires Spécialisé en Animaux de Compagnie- French Veterinarian’s Association Specialized in Pets)  president.
Member of the French “Faune Sauvage Captive” in the department of Drome. He is also a member of ARAV (Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians), AAV (Association of Avian Veterinarians), and SFEROV (Société Française d’Etudes et de Recherche en Ophtalmologie Vétérinaire).
Since 2006, he gives ophthalmological classes on Exotic Pets within his Graduate Certificate of ophthalmology from the National School of Veterinary Medicine of Toulouse and Alfort.

Since 2011, he also takes care of teaching an optional and specialized class on Exotic Pets at VetAgro Sup (French National School of Veterinary Medicine). National and international speaker on the matter, he is the author of numerous articles, publication, books, videos, CDs and DVDs on Exotic Pets.

The work referenced in Vetnac Editions has been put in place in aim to help and further feed the knowledge of all veterinarians, those interested by Exotic Pets, and all others that express a passion for these species.
